Try some Holiday Hammer Curls. These activate the muscles you’ve been using to haul around heavy bags all day. And the best part: You can do them on the go the next time you’re out shopping and have tons of bags to carry around.
1. Think ABC (abs, blades, curl): Engage your core/abs, push your shoulder blades together while holding your bags in both hands, and curl your fists up to your shoulders.
2. Switch hands every block to distribute the weight of the shopping bags.
3. Do 10 squats when you’re stopped at a traffic light or a mall bench. This activates other muscles so you won’t feel so much pressure on just your arms.
