Don’t Let the Holiday Goodies Get the Best of You

Okay…let’s be real here. We know we’ll be tempted to have bite or two…or three of that yummy holiday bread or the sweet sugar cookies, but if you can have self-control and practice eating balanced and in moderation,  you can enjoy the holidays the healthy way.

-Choose fresh fruit as a festive and sweet substitute for candy.

-Select just one or two of your favorites from the host of tempting foods.

-Find fun ways to stay active, such as dancing to your favorite holiday music.

-Be active for at least 2½ hours a week. Help kids and teens be active for at least 1 hour a day.

If you can follow these simple pointers, your waistline and mood will thank you.
